Michaud replica ?

Now i have decided to build a replica 300 .. will have a later swing arm with the chain tensioner fitted, mikuni carb, white sidepanels,rear frame loop removed and is to be built on a 239cc French spec engine ..

I have a 200 Pro top yoke fitted to move the bars forward a little.

do you have 5.5 or 6 inches bar?

They are 5 inch Renthal bars .. and no i haven't fitted the Mikuni yet. I am awaiting Steve Saunders to get back from holiday as he has the old jetting information from back in the day

do you think that the mikuni really improves the bike?
i'd be interested by the carb  settings too!
the 300 pro is a really nice bike!

John Lampkin said it made a big difference at the time, but he did say that the works bikes had a different barrel porting setup.
.. There is a company here selling felorto flatsides cheaply and I did think about one of those instead.

The settings for the Mikuni that i have ..

Here is the Mik setting :
Needle 5C23
Spray nozzle 182 0-2
Main jet 150 (but 140 is better)
Mini jet 30 (but 27.5 is better)
Gas valve diameter 30mm, size 2.0

I am using Octane boost in mine to cut down on the "pinking" .. but the standard way to stop it here is using 2 or 3 base gaskets.
Or if you can find one then use a 301 cylinder !!

i'll try a 303 barrel...

Not sure if they are the same .. did they have the reedvalve on the 303?

no first reed valve barrels were 305  engines...

300 ad 303 look the same, but the porting is different, as the inlet pipe
